7.       PETER PICKINGILL   was born ca. 1826 in Hockley, Essex, England and was baptized February 18, 1827 at the church in Hockley.

Peter Pickingill lived with his parents in Hockley from the time of his birth in 1826 until by 1841 when he and his father were living in Canewdon, Essex.

In 1841, Peter Pickingill and his father Charles Pickingill were living in Canewdon, Essex.

Peter Pickingill married JANE WRIGHT, a widow.

In 1862, from the Marriage index, there is a Peter Pickingill who married Jane Wright in the Rochford District of Essex in the third quarter of 1862.

Jane was the widow of John Wright  an Agricultural Laborer who probably died in 1861-1862.

Note that it is mentioned that Jane Pickingill, a Laundress, is Married.

 

In 1890, from the Death index, there is a Peter Pickingale who died at the age of 65 years in the Rochford District of Essex in the first quarter of 1890.

In 1891, from the Death index, there is a Jane Pickingale who died at the age of 75 years in the Rochford District of Essex in the second quarter of 1891.

 

It does not appear that Peter Pickingill had any children with his wife Jane.  The granddaughters shown in the 1871 and 1881 censuses are from Jane and her first husband John Wright.
