2.        THOMAS WALLWORTH ( son of Thomas1 ) was christened October 7, 1580 in St. Lawrence church, Frodsham, Cheshire, England.

Mother:     Catherine Woodward

 

Thomas Wallworth married CATHERINE ---- ? --- .

 

Thomas and Catherine were living in Norley, Frodsham Parish.

 

From the parish register of St. Lawrence, Frodsham there is an interesting entry for the date of March 18, 1612/1613 "This Daye there was an Earthquake about 7 of ye clock in ye morning".  The word Earthquake was written large and bold.

 

From the Churchwarden’s Account records for the church of St. Lawrence, Frodsham, we have the following:

1630  -  "Ano domini 1630 The accompts of William Hill of Buerton and Thomas Wallworth of Norley in ye yeere fore mentioned .... " "Payd by me Thomas Wallworth for my owne house ....ij ij O".

1630  -  "1630 The disbursements of William Hill and Thomas Wallworth churchwardens Ano 1630..."

1631  -  "The Accoumpts of William Heath of ffrodsham and Richard Widdenstall of Alvandley, beinge churchwardenes for the pish of ffrodsham, in the yeare of oure lord godd 1631..." "Imp: of William Hill and Tho: Walworth wch remayned in there hands..."

1633  -  "Anno 1633 The accompts of Thomas Hall and William Widdens churchwardens...." "ffor ye lestall of Katherine Wallworth....".   (Also noted for 1633 ... "Given to a poor minister who was robbed & wounded by theeves...")

 

Catherine Wallworth died in Norley, Cheshire and was buried on April 1, 1634 at St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.

 

Also from the Churchwarden’s Account records for the church of St. Lawrence, Frodsham, we have the following:

1645  -  "April 24 1645 Thomas Bushelle of ffrodsham and John Trafford of Helsbye were elected and pronounced churchwardenes for this present yeare by us whose names are subscribed for the parish of ffrodsham" "Tho: Wallworth" was one of the signers.

1647  -  "Anno 1647 The Disbursements of us the Sayd churchwardens as followeth..." "payd: to Thomas Wallworth for 2 foxes heads ..... 00 / 02 / 00".

1648  -  "Memorandum that uppon the 11th day of Aprill Anno 1648 the pastour & elect men of the pish being assembled to heare & examine the accampts of the old churchwardens & to nominate & elect new wardens for the ensuing yeare doe elect Thomas Hignitt of ffrodsham & Thomas Wallworth of Norley for the execution of the Sayd office....".

1648  -  "Memorand that [   ] the [30]th of August Ano 1648 wee pishioners of ffrodsham whose names are subscribed being assembled in ye pish church for the levying of a ley for ye repara[   ] of the church & for ye paison of other [   ] for the generall good of the parish & for the paying & discharging of such moneys as are or shall bee imposed uppon the pish in ye time of ye present church wardens Thomas Higgnit & Thomas Wallworth doe enclude of a ley of XXd the lib: for the [   ] above sayd.....".

1648  -  "Recd by us Tho Hignit & Tho: Wallworth churchwardens of ffrodsham pish as followeth...".

1651  -  "Octob: 6 Anno Dm 1651 ... [   ] Agreed upon by us the churchwardens & Parishioner of ffrodsham whose names are subscribed...." "Thomas Wallworth" was one of the signers.

1652 & 1653  -  "The totall Sume of our disburstments for the years 52 & 53 is 76-15-6" "Church leays reciept as followeth..." "Norleay Tho: Wallworth of 6 leay - 0-6-6".

1653  -  "Wee the elected men of the pish whose names are subscribed being assembled in ye pish church Aprill the 11th ..." "Tho: Wallworth" was one of the signatures.

1653  -  "November the 5th 1653 The day and yeare above written wee whose names are underwritten being assembled in the place of publique ..." "Thomas Wallworth" was one of the names signed.

1654  -  "Arreares returned as yet unpayd by [    ] as followeth..." "Norley: Thomas Walworth -03-0".

1655  -  "Arreares in ye yeare 1655" "Thomas Wallworth 00 03 00".

1655  -  "The accompts of us Robert Bolger and Thomas Chaddock churchwardens for the parish of ffrodsham in the year of or Lord 1655..." "Rec of Tho: Wallworth of Norley the lestall for his father - 00 02 06"

 

Thomas Wallworth also died in Norley and was buried on September 28, 1655 at St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.

8.       (possible child)     KATHERINE WALLWORTH.  No baptism for her was found in the Parish registers of St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.  Katherine married Richard Wims on January 7, 1631/1632 in St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.

 

9. +    (possible child)     EDWARD WALLWORTH.  No baptism for him was found in the Parish registers of St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.  Edward married 1st. Elizabeth Widdens and secondly  ---?--- ---?---.

 

10.      (possible child)     MARY WALLWORTH.  No baptism for her was found in the Parish registers of St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.  Mary married John Darlington on August 6, 1625 in St. Lawrence church, Frodsham.
